In class 8th NCERT book, chapter 11, Mensuration, in exercise 11.1, students revisit perimeter and area questions related to simple polynomial figures like rectangle and square.

In Exercise 11.2, the area of Trapezium is introduced. It also covers questions through which students learn to find areas of quadrilaterals and other polynomials like Pentagon, using simpler polygons like triangle, square, rectangle, and even trapezium.
